Do you feel the roar, the lions are at war
Do you see them dance, each girl hoping for her chance
The lion’s mane is spun in their hair of ivory and sun
David gets a kiss, he may chose whoever is his
David you are strong with steady hand
Faithful heart to God and his great land
God is with you fighting for his seed
But David, can you fight it, can you bring this evil giant down
Can David, fight Goliath and win the crown
dusty rocks and and work to do
trusted sling and flocks to move
shepherds staff that stump a beat, spirit song and scorching heat
David, who are your flock of sheep?
David you are strong with steady hand
Faithful heart to God and his great land
God is with you fighting for his seed
But David, can God fight it, and bring it down?
God almighty, fight Goliath and take the crown?
the beast, dusted broken sculls in his shadow
an ancient evil, once bound then future, released
A creature that swallow servants while the whole army kneel down at his feet
a brutal beastly king of ancient, a serpentin decendant
But David fought the brute, stones and sling and God cut him from his reign
now the bones on the ground are his own
The valley filled with blood, cleansed out by a holy flood
And their giant king, has lost his royal sting
Where the giant fell, David closed the gates of hell
Rose an annointed king, anointed king from God.
I am weak, but still I stand in faith
God my Lord is always here with me
And God has brought the giant down
Yes, God has struck the giant down
My God has crushed the giant’s head
The Lord has dropped the giant dead
A stone, a strike, the final blow
God spoke a word and it was so
