Verce:
A man in the desert
a leader of the clan
counting the stars on a clear cold night
he is expected
to follow his tribe
or to break traditions and change his life
Chorus A:
But his sun-worn face, has a heart full of grace
where the maker of galaxies recide
Creator of the world, he knows him by his name
he calls from eternity, he calls to change his life
from high to low from Babylon, chosen with his wife
a man full of faith
old of time and wait
God eternal and one, promised him a son
Chorus B:
become the stars
become the stars
Broen:
He waited a lifetime to follow in your will
He held fast in the silence, yet trusted you still
He walked from his homeland, obeying your will
Your promise last forever, and endures for him still
You carried him for a lifetime, now carry me
You changed his name forever, then change mine
You led him through the harsh desert, then please lead me
You asked him to make sacrifice, ask and set me free
Verce:
A soul in the wilderness
a father to all nations
In the end, he held his son
Chorus A:
They raised a flame on the hill
Father’s hands grew calm and still
The sky cried out with holy fire
“Withhold the blade, I will provide”
On this mount, love speaks again
Not with blood of beasts or men
A greater son, a purer lamb
The heart of God, the great I Am
Greatest of all is love
Abraham, man of faith
Walk in love
Abraham, man of faith
Walk in love
